During this downward spiral of our economy we can safely forecast the world will not remain the same. More specifically speaking about the COVID outbreak. VR and AR technology is quickly changing and growing although now it seems that the push for more VR/AR technology is prominent. A possible new future outlook for a technology that seemed hard to penetrate into our daily lives. Could VR/AR take someone away from this isolation and help heal the need for leaving your home and exploring the pyramids or perhaps a deserted beach. The quarantined life isn’t for everyone and for those yearning to go to a concert and listen to their favorite band play and engage in that type of moment might just be the solution to the isolation.

A 2019 study published by the Journal Frontiers in Psychology claims that nature exposure in VR can provide emotional well-being benefits for people who cannot access the outdoors. NatureTreks is a platform with a variety of virtual experiences to help those individuals to immerse themselves in landscape environments of all kinds. Perhaps also known as a nature simulator.

Apple recently acquired NEXTVR which has given positive reinforcement that VR will and should be widely adopted in the coming few months if not within the year. VR will make the breakthrough it has been looking for.
